Terms and conditions

Information on how to enter and the prize(s) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

PROMOTERS’ DETAILS

The Promoter of this competition is Supercars (ABN: 94 077 053 484) of 45 Nerang Street, Southport, QLD 4215

PROMOTION PERIOD

The competition period commences at 1:00pm AEDT on 22/02/2024 and ends at 11:59pm AEDT on 19/11/2024 (“competition period”), and the Promoter reserves the right to extend the competition end date at any time (subject to regulatory approval, if required).

WHO CAN ENTER?

To be eligible to enter you must reside in Australia. If you are under the age of eighteen (18) years old, you must have parental/guardian approval to enter, and your parents/guardians must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor entering this competition.

WHO CANNOT ENTER?

Employees and the immediate families of BP, Supercars, and agencies association with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, child, sibling, or parent.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter the competition, you must submit an online entry by providing your full name, email address, age, postcode & filling out the competition questions and accept these Terms and Conditions where required on the competition landing page at https://supercars-bp.partnership-hub.com during the competition period.
No late entries will be accepted.
A limit of one entry to the competition per race per person applies.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including producing documentation to establish to the Promoter's satisfaction an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process, engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion, acted in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner; done anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition, breached any law or behaved in a way that is otherwise inappropriate. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

SELECTION OF WINNERS

Eleven (11) minor winners will be chosen from random and the winner for each round will be selected three business days following the close of the competition
One (1) major winner will be chosen from random and will take place from:
- 10:00 AM AEDT on 22nd November 2024 at Greenroom Digital, 49-51 Stead Street, South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia 3205.
The winner will be notified by email and/or telephone on the day of the draw.
The results of the draw will be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of the draw. This is a game of chance.
The eleven (11) minor winners will be published on the website: https://www.supercars.com following each round.
The one (1) major winner will be published on the website: https://www.supercars.com following the final round.

UNCLAIMED PRIZE DRAW

If one or more of the winners does not respond within 3 months of being notified by Greenroom Digital that they have won the competition, one or more of the winners are not readily identified and reasonable efforts have been made by Greenroom Digital to identify those winners were unsuccessful, they will automatically forfeit their prize and Greenroom Digital reserves the right to select another winner or winners through a second chance draw.
If necessary, an unclaimed prize draw for the eleven (12) minor winners will be chosen from random and will take place three months following the initial draw
If necessary, an unclaimed prize draw for the one (1) major winner will be chosen from random and will take place from:
- 10:00 AM AEDT on 22nd February 2025
All unclaimed prize draws will take place at the same time and place as the first draw. The first valid entry or entries drawn will win any unclaimed prizes. The unclaimed prize draw winner or winners will be notified by email and/or telephone on the day of the draw.
The results of any unclaimed prize draw will be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of the draw.

PROMOTION AND MARKETING

By entering the competition, the winners agree to participate in such promotional activity and material as BP may require without remuneration.
The winners also consent to the use and publication of their name and any other details provided by the winners in any marketing material without any further reference or payment to the winners.

PRIZE

Eleven minor prizes winning 2 x General Admission tickets to the 2024 Supercars event of their choice, excluding the Australian Grand Prix Round, values at $30 each
One (1) Major Prize pack consisting of the following for a Supercars 2025 event of the winners’ choice
- 2 x GA tickets (valued at $30 each)
- 2 x Supercars Grid Walks (valued at $100 each)
- 2 x Supercars Course Car Rides (valued at $100 each)
Total prize pool at AUD $1,120 as at the publishing date of these terms and conditions.
No part of a prize is exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other prize.
If the prizes are not available for any reason, BP reserves the right to substitute the prize with another item of equal or greater value if the winners agree in writing and subject to any written directions from any applicable regulatory authority. If the winners do not agree despite reasonable attempts by BP to reach an agreement and the prize is not available due to circumstances beyond BP control, BP may substitute the prize with another item or items determined by BP to be of equal or higher value.
BP will take reasonable steps to distribute the prize to the winners within 7 days of the draw.

STANDARD TERMS

Please read these competition terms and conditions carefully. If you enter the competition, we will assume that you have read these terms and conditions and that you agree to them.
BP reserves the right to amend the competition and its terms and conditions at any time and for any reason, subject to regulatory approval (if required) and will notify entrants of any such amendments as soon as reasonably practicable on the competition landing page BP. It is the entrant's responsibility to regularly check the competition landing page for any amendments. Any amendments will be applied and interpreted at the sole discretion of BP.
If the competition is not capable of running as planned to include by reason of technical failure, fraud or any cause beyond BP’s control, BP may cancel or suspend the competition or invalidate any affected entries, to the extent permitted by law.
BP does not accept responsibility for any entries that are delayed or which are not received for any reason during the competition period.
To the extent permitted by law, BP shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered in connection with the conduct of the competition or the redemption or use of the prize (including but not limited to direct loss) including:
- technical or telecommunications problems (such as security breaches, technical website malfunctions or glitches); or
- acts or omissions (including negligent acts of omissions) of BP’s servants or agents involved in the conduct of this competition who are acting outside their authority as agent of BP.
As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form. In the event a winner is under the age of 18, a nominated parent/legal guardian of such person will be required to sign the legal documentation required under this clause on their behalf.
The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at www.bp.com.au. In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter may disclose PI to overseas locations such as New Zealand, the USA, the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and India. By participating in this competition, entrants release and hold harmless Facebook from any and all liability associated with this competition, to the extent permitted by law (in which case that liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law).
BP and entrants acknowledge that this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook.
Entrants acknowledge that they are providing information to BP and not to Facebook.
BP is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings, including fringe benefits tax. Independent financial advice should be sought.
The laws of Victoria apply to this competition. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the laws of Victoria.
